Which grades does Meezan School offer?

How do I apply for admission?

Does submitting an application guarantee admission?

No. An application begins the admissions process but does not guarantee placement. Admission depends on available space, completion of required steps, review of the application, and the school’s final decision.

What documents may be required?

Is before or after school care included in tuition?

No. Extended care is optional and charged separately from tuition. Care hours and rates are listed on the School Hours & Care page.

School Hours & Care

Questions about the daily schedule, Friday hours, and extended care.

What are the school hours from Monday to Thursday?

Regular school hours from Monday to Thursday are 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM.

What are the school hours on Friday?

Friday school hours are 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

When is before school care available?

Before school care is available from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.

When is after school care available?

After school care is available from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Thursday.

How much does extended care cost?

Full-time care is charged at $20 per hour, and part-time care is charged at $25 per hour. Review the School Hours & Care page for full details.

How do I register for extended care?

Complete the Extended Care Registration Form available on the Policies & Forms page and return it to the school office.

What academic program does Meezan School provide?

Meezan School provides age-appropriate academic learning from Kindergarten through Grade 8, including core areas such as language, mathematics, science, social studies, and related learning activities.

Are Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic Studies included?

Yes. Qur’an, Arabic, Islamic Studies, prayer, Islamic manners, and character development are part of the school program. More information is available on the Qur’an, Arabic & Islamic Studies page.

How does the school support Islamic character?

Students are encouraged to practice honesty, respect, patience, kindness, gratitude, responsibility, good manners, and care for others throughout the school day.

What activities are offered beyond classroom academics?

How are students prepared for high school?

The Grades 7–8 program emphasizes academic readiness, independence, responsibility, organization, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, leadership, and a strong Islamic identity. Visit the Grades 7–8 page.

Attendance & Parent Information

How do I report my child’s absence?

Parents may call the school office, send a message to the teacher, or provide notice through a sibling when necessary. Direct notice to the office or teacher is preferred whenever possible.

What should I do if my child will arrive late?

Notify the office or teacher when possible. A student arriving after the school day has started should follow the school’s late-arrival procedure before entering class.

What clothing is required?

Students should wear modest, clean, comfortable, and school-appropriate clothing. Clothing should not display inappropriate images, language, symbols, or messages.

Does Meezan School provide transportation?

No. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to and from school.

How do I change my child’s pickup arrangement?

Contact the school office when there is a change to the regular pickup arrangement. Same-day or urgent changes should be communicated directly to the office.

Who is allowed to pick up my child?

Students should only be released to parents, guardians, or other individuals authorized by the family. An Authorized Pickup Form is available on the Policies & Forms page.

Which forms are currently available?

Available forms include Student Information Update, Medication Authorization, Extended Care Registration, Extended Absence Notice, Emergency Contact Update, and Authorized Pickup.

How are medication arrangements handled?

Parents should communicate with the school office and complete the Medication Authorization Form before medication is stored or administered at school. Medication should not be sent without prior arrangements.

Can parents contact teachers directly?

Yes. Parents may contact teachers directly regarding classroom, academic, behavioural, or student-progress matters. The school office may also assist with communication.

Where can I find the school policy handbook?

The current handbook is available on the Policies & Forms page. The posted version is identified as a draft and may be updated.

Who should I contact if I have a concern?
