School Resumes on September 3, 2015

Welcome new and returning students and parents/guardians to Meezan School!

The new semester is about to begin on Thursday, September 3. Teachers, volunteers and staff are excited to be returning to a growing school for our second year. Please note the following:

Class Times (New)
To enhance learning and ensure students have an enjoyable and well-balanced time at school, students must be in class before 8:30 a.m. every weekday morning. Classes end at 3:40 p.m. each weekday. We are have also posted our School Calendar for 2015–2016 on our website (www.meezanschool.com/calendar).

New Dress Code
We now have a new dress code. Please visit the following website for more information (www.meezanschool.com/dress-code)

Office Hours
Regular office hours will resume on September 3, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will also be holding special office hours on September 1 and 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Paying Tuition
Parents/guardians should have made arrangements for pre-authorized payments before Monday, September 8. If you require a bursary, please download, complete, and submit our Bursary Application Form (www.meezanschool.com/registration) from our website. Please visit us during our office hours to make payments as well as submit any required documents.

Pick-up and Drop-off
Starting this fall, we are asking that parents/guardians drop-off and pick-up their children do so by parking on the Water Street. Parents/guardians can meet their children outside the school. We are asking, however, that kindergarten students continue to be met by their parents inside the school itself.

What will your child need for the first day of school?
Each student is expected to bring (1) a backpack that can carry a lunch box, (2) a lunch box with hearty and healthy snacks for two breaks, and (3) a pair of indoor shoes to be kept at the school.

Parents of students entering or returning to Kindergarten will be contacted about the particular days each student will be joining the school as well as what to bring on the first full day of school.

School Registration is Open!

The registration process and admissions process has now begun for September 2015.

School is Open – February 23

Following the decision made by the Upper Grand District School Board, for schools in Division 1, our school will be open today.

Parent-Teacher Meetings February 19

A reminder that Parent-Teacher Meetings are scheduled for Thursday, January 19 from 5pm to 7pm at the school. Teachers will be available to meet and discuss your child’s progress during this time.
